Intelligent how much f photos

As time goes by we will probably get even faster cameras. Smartphones also take a lot of photos in burst these days, and then of course, with smartphones in general people take a lot more photos. So as people take more photos it becomes more of a burden to sort through and find the best ones. I wouldn't be surprised to see this feature added to most photo apps in the near future, such as Lightroom, or the Apple Photos app. So, if takes 60fps at 4K it is like shooting video, right? So, what will happen to video if stills can shoot 4k at 60fps?

So which ones are real photographers? Mariano, you bring up a good point; with 4K and now 8K, one can extract usable frames from the video and so this is another use of that type of application. As to which are the "real photographers" or not And it really doesn't matter to the vast majority of people. When someone sees a great photo, they typically don't ask how it was obtained.

If one cannot pick the best photos in sharpness, contrast, HD, etcetera to let an apps do the photo evaluation what good is a good camera then if it requires an app to evaluate not with our own eyes. Just ignore it and go about your business.

As far as I can think, AI culling could be useful for very few scenarios, the only one coming to mind being high volume, fast turnaround studios or pop-up studios that shoot people. If the AI can discard the images where obvious better ones exist in a set, then great, that's a time saving and useful product But to market for mobile only, with a monthly fee? Who the hell is the target market here? Also, wasn't Canon originally making this as a Lightroom plug-in?

I agree, something like this should instead be focused towards professionals who shoot in bulk! Maybe a desktop app would have been ideal. Speaking of which, AfterShoot is something that does this well and is aimed towards professionals. FilterPixel has just transformed the way Lightroom or Photomechanic used to work in old days for culling.

I think this app is more about filtering out really obvious bad ones. I mean, when I first cull images, there are a lot of really bad ones that don't take much artistic vision to filter out. It's the difference between the 4-star and 5-star ones that really require an aesthetic eye. You have to think about the many average smartphone photographers that just takes a lot of photos of all sorts of stuff, and then doesn't really have any sort of method for culling. Over time this will become a popular and necessary feature of most photo apps, IMHO.

Now it may not be this particular app It's a tool. You can use an app like this if you want to. Just because you use it some of the time doesn't mean you'd have to use it all of the time. You need an app that provides you with more control. Try FilterPixel or Narrative Select in that case. Spare us from this false belief in artificial intelligence for evaluating our images, it's just pushing the world into a look of sameness, where every person in every photo is happy and smiling.
