Where is nzbsrus 2011
The move involved bad RAID configurations, and partitioning issues, but the transfer was finished in about 3 days. Presently the site is back up, with all the old glory, and maybe a little more polish.
The forums are running as smoothly as ever, and we even went so far as to register a new free access account to test the system…All systems are a go. With the new spit and polish they also updated their FAQ to include a very detailed disclaimer as to their legality.
Our site does not host any actual media or content. We simply provide moderated and selected indexes of content contained in Newsgroups. It seems that NZBsRus may have already considered the scenario that the CAD letter had placed on them, and they had an escape plan already in place. When it was all finished, the migration took a total of three days. They had to move more than GB of data to the new server. They also made noises about the RAID configuration being wrong and that there were partitioning issues at first…but these are the kinds of things that site developers live for, and they are often simply solved.
I've just signed up to NZB Matrix, but the site code looks very, very old and creaky. Any suggestion welcome for an all rounder site Mapped London town. I used to be a Newzbin person until all the legal shit, I'm on NZMatrix right now and have been for a while. I think I gave a small donation ages ago for better functionality and it seems to do the business.
I'd be interested to hear any alternatives as well. Click to expand Will keep an eye on this thread. Find it odd they are targeting newsgroup sites, surely only a small minority of 'downloaders' actually use newsgroups compared to torrent sites. The End We have had to make this decision due to a very large takedown request from a company called Wiggin LLC.
Entertainment UK Limited. Once this notice is completed we are left with an impossible task of policing our indexing bots. Even then it won't stop there, there will be follow-up notices etc. Coupled with this is problems with payment providers, we have been through pretty much everyone out there, in the end they all pull out. Also the Usenet Indexing scene is going through some changes, with content being removed from pretty much every provider its making the existence of an indexer irrelevant if the content does not even exists anymore.
So it's time for us to bow out N1 Buoy said:. Is usenet on the way out? No, but indexing maybe. Ranbay The same rules apply. Back to FTP for me, all the others will go down now, and some more have closed today. It was always going to happen, it had become way too easy for people. Addy cooking NZB Royalty is still going. Even 0day stuff is now being identified and taken down by providers.
